MOLTED EMAIL
CLI Reference

molted budget

Check remaining send quota across monthly, daily and hourly windows

Agent context

Call molted budget before any batch send to avoid mid-batch quota blocks. Quota resets at the start of each UTC calendar month, day and hour.

daily/hourly: usage against your plan's per-day and per-hour caps daily.freeRamp (Free only, first two weeks): a new Free account's daily cap
ramps 20 -> 50 -> 100 by days since Free was activated. "held": true means bounces or complaints are keeping it at the current step until they recover; nextStepAt is when the next step applies. Gone once the ramp is done. inbound: email received this month against the plan's inbound allowance
(Free 1,000, Solo 5,000, Team 25,000). Received mail never uses the send limits, and quarantined spam never counts. Past the allowance nothing is bounced: Solo/Team keep delivering and pay inbound overage ("overage"); Free stores it but holds it from agents until next month, or until you move to a paid plan, which releases it at once ("hold"; "held" counts those messages; a paid plan's trial holds until the plan starts). An expired plan also stores new mail and holds it until the workspace is on a plan again ("hold"). Enterprise, or a paid plan set by Molted support, just delivers ("deliver").
negativeSignals: recent bounces + complaints in the past 24 hours

  • exceeding the budget (default 50) blocks sends with reason "negative_signal_budget_exceeded"

Quota limits by plan:

  • Free: daily 100 (20 in week 1, 50 in week 2), hourly 40
  • Solo: daily 1,000, hourly 200
  • Team: daily 5,000, hourly 1,000

If remaining is 0 on any window, sends are blocked with reason "hourly_limit_exceeded", "daily_limit_exceeded", "monthly_limit_exceeded" or "overage_cap_exceeded" (whichever window is exhausted). Use molted billing status to check if billing itself is blocking sends.

Typical pre-send check

molted billing status # confirm sendBlocked: false
molted budget # confirm quota available
molted send batch # execute
